Clinical Electromagnetics Collaborative From Dr. Goldberg: I am writing on behalf of the Clinical Electromagnetics Collaborative - a new Building Biology Institute initiative that is working to expand and make visible the pool of EMF literate health practitioners in the US and Canada. We are now actively reaching out to the physicians and health practitioners in our network to find as many EMF literate/aware practitioners as we can. We expect to have a practitioner database go live by late 2024. This will feature all the health practitioners who wish to opt into our free directory listing. Please help us locate EMF Literate or Aware Health Practitioners! How you can help: If you know of any physicians, naturopaths, osteopaths, chiropractors, dentists, vets (literally any type of health practitioner who understands that EMF is a true health issue), please send us their practice information. We will then send them information on our initiative and offer them participation in the practitioner directory. SEND TO: info@clinicalelectromagnetics.org Thank you so very much for your help!
If you are a physician or heath care worker with the authority to write a disability letter for EMF related health issues or you see a physician or heath care provider for EMF related issues; Dr. Goldberg is preparing a data base for reach- outs regarding the further education of health care workers in EMF health issues so that they are better able to diagnose and treat, and so that our community is able to find educated physicians and health care practitioners when we need them. If you are a physician/ health care person or know of one of this nature please send: -Their name, -Type of Physician or Health Care Worker, -Address, -Phone Number -Email SEND TO: info@clinicalelectromagnetics.org or have them sign up on the website. Thank you so very much for your help! Additional Information The CEC is a roadmap for shifting public opinion around the EMF health effects debate and for advancing access to EMF informed healthcare in North America. To submit the names of health practitioners to us, please contact: Lauren Sauvageot, Interim Director of Operations at info@clinicalelectromagnetics.org. AI: LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram are hoovering up your data to train their AI. Here’s how to stop it FORTUNE ON MSN
AUTOMOBILES EVS: Charging Electric Cars Are Wasting More Power Than You Think A surprising amount of electricity is lost during the charging process, and some models are much worse than others, according to a new study by the German automobile group ADAC. Testing over 90 electric cars currently on the market, ADAC found that, on average, 14.5% of the electricity used at charging stations never even makes it to the car’s batteries. []The Mini Cooper SE, which wasted a shocking 30.1% of its charge. The Volvo XC40 wasn’t far behind, losing about 20% during charging. Other notable energy guzzlers include the Dacia Spring, Mustang Mach-E, Nissan Leaf, MG 4, and Xpeng G9. Not all electric cars are culprits of massive power waste, though. []It all comes down to the need to convert alternating current (AC) from the charging station into direct current (DC) to store in the car's batteries. That conversion process is where a big chunk of the power goes to waste. MSN
BROADBAND BEAD: As Illinois moves forward with broadband expansion, FCC slams the program The Broadband, Equity, Access, and Deployment, or BEAD program, is the largest single investment in broadband infrastructure in American history, costing taxpayers $42 billion FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr recently testified at a House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing that it's been over 1,000 days since the program was signed into law by the Biden Administration. "After all of that time, not one person has been connected to the internet,” said Carr. “Not one home, not one business, not even one shovel full of dirt has been turned.” Carr, who said the BEAD program is wired to fail, said the days without action are not without consequence. CHILDREN SCHOOLS CELLPHONES INDUSTRY DENIAL: Q&A: What's behind the ban on cell phones in K-12 schools? Let me start by saying this: Most parents gave their kids cell phones so they could have immediate access to communicate. In this era of school shootings, phones became a matter of safety—and a matter of coordinating the busy schedules and lives of modern families. It had nothing to do with giving kids access to video games and platforms like Instagram and Snapchat. That was an unintentional consequence. PHYSICS.ORG
COMEDY: An AI Event Hired John Mulaney to Do a Comedy Set and He Brutally Roasted Them Onstage "So many of you feel imminently replaceable." [] little did they know Mulaney was about to eviscerate the company and the AI industry as a whole, delivering a lethal reality check to all those audience members at the Dreamforce event. During his 45-minute set, Mulaney skewered the AI industry for its willingness to give up human agency, with often fundamentally flawed chatbots feeding users purported info about current events, work advice, and even medical diagnoses. ENERGY: Orlando’s energy future: millions of solar panels, 75-ton batteries — and anxious residents OUC wants to adjust rates so that using electricity during high-demand times of the day is more costly than during low-demand periods, a change it says will promote more efficient use of power. Critics say that many renters and low-income homeowners — in part because they can’t afford modern, programmable appliances — have little or no ability to change when they consume electricity. []Eskamani strongly supports OUC’s larger commitment to ending its carbon pollution. But she said the utility, as it is publicly owned, needs to slow down and regain the confidence of its climate-concerned customers. “It’s really important that you have the support of those you serve,” she said. HEALTH/NOT HEALTH GERMANY: NOTE: There is no need for any of this to be done wirelessly. Implementing telemedicine with 5G technologies in a nursing home for reducing emergency admissions– study protocol of a mixed-methods study By transmitting various types of data, telemedical care enables the provision of care where physicians and patients are physically separated. In nursing homes, telemedicine has the potential to reduce hospital admissions in nonemergency situations. In this study, telemedicine devices were implemented with the new 5G mobile communications standard in selected wards of a large nursing home in Northwest Germany. The main aim of this study is to investigate which individual and organizational factors are associated with the use of telemedicine devices and how users perceive the feasibility and implementation of such devices. Moreover, it is investigated whether the telemedical devices help to reduce the number of emergency admissions. [] the study results can be used to provide use cases for appropriate and targeted application of telemedicine in nursing homes and to define the role of 5G technologies in these use cases. If the intervention is proven successful, the results will be used to promote 5G network rollout. []The study is conducted in a nursing home in rural Northwest Germany. The charitable nursing home offers approximately 300 inpatient care places at two sites, with the main site having ten different wards. The 3-year study is conducted from January 2022 through December 2024. []Within the present study, telemedical devices are provided in selected wards of a large nursing home in Northwest Germany. The devices are either provided in backpacks or on ward trolleys, depending on the preferences of the practicing nurses. The backpacks and ward trolleys contain common examination instruments (e.g., blood pressure cuffs, stethoscopes, and blood glucose meters), which are used by certified nursing staff and transmit the patient’s vital signs via Bluetooth to the attending physician using an enclosed tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 5G, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., Korea). The attending physicians (general practitioners, specialists in private practice and hospital physicians) are equipped with the necessary terminal devices and trained. Vital signs and video chats are managed on the tablet via the MIA app (for more information, see https://www.ztm.de/mia). MIA is a certified class I medical device according to the Medical Device Law Implementation Act, the “Medizinprodukterecht-Durchführungsgesetz” (MPDG). [] Within the SERNV study, telemedical devices are implemented with a private 5G network in selected nursing home wards of a large nursing home in Northwest Germany. Therefore, the intervention aims to relieve the employees of the nursing home and the EMS in nonemergency situations. However, the focus is always on ensuring adequate care for residents. Telemedicine devices are therefore only used when transport to a hospital is not necessary, and adequate care can be provided in the nursing home by certified nursing staff. [] The project does not include any genuine patient or public involvement components. RHODE ISLAND SAFE TECH ADVOCACY UPDATE; Hello Rhode Islanders for Safe Technology! Courtesy Stephen Dahl I’m combining my efforts with Sheila Resseger of 5G Free RI. Our new name will be RI4SafeTech! Sheila has created a new Facebook page*. A web page is also in the works. Rhode Island Energy is mailing postcards about the new so-called “smart” meters they are rolling out to replace our electric meters, “starting in 2025.” That’s the bad news, as they are neither “green” nor for your benefit. But there’s good news too! We have a brochure which explains the new meters’ shortcomings, but also informs Rhode Islanders that we have the right to Opt Out. The Smart Meter Brochure can be found at the new Facebook page for RI4SafeTech. Click on the Featured tab. Other good news is that South Kingstown School District, from K-12, this year has a new cell phone policy. (Click the link and scroll down and watch the two very short videos.) Thank you South Kingstown High School Principal Chip McGair, PhD and others who put this forward-thinking policy into play. More good news: Devra Davis, PhD, MPH, and Nobel Laureate for her work on Al Gore’s climate change team (in addition to earlier work helping prohibit tobacco smoke in public spaces) has an updated book for 2024. It’s called “Disconnect, A Scientist’s Solutions for Safer Technology.” It’s available now at Ocean State Libraries! Additionally, you can watch “Generation Zapped,” the award-winning documentary telling the story of how on Earth we got to where we are today with wireless technology, complete with medical doctors knowledgeable about the types of effects this radiation can have on our bodies. It’s now available on Hoopla through Ocean State Libraries! Ask your librarian how to sign up. We’ll have more information on how to protect yourselves and your loved ones in our upcoming efforts. Be well! Stephen Dahl Note: The name of Sheila’s old Facebook (FB) page for 5GFreeRI has changed to “Wired, Yes! Wireless, No!” Also, if you have trouble accessing the new Facebook page RI4SafeTech, try logging in to FB and writing RI4SafeTech in the search field. That should take you to the new page. Or try the link above.
WARFARE: At https://worldbeyondwar.org/military-empires you will find a set of interactive maps that allow you to spin the globe, click on a military base, zoom in on it for a satellite image and information and links about the base, as well as — when possible — information about the particular harm the base is causing and about the good people working to get the base closed. This online tool has been extremely popular since it was launched with only U.S. foreign military bases. While the United States dominates the sphere of foreign bases, there are 17 other nations that have relatively tiny numbers of them. We’ve now expanded our resource to include a new map for each of those other nations. We’ve also added a new map of bases that have been closed, for whatever reasons, along with information — when we have it — on who did what to get each base closed. While World BEYOND War is proud to have been part of campaigns that have prevented planned bases from ever being built, existing bases can also be closed, even converted to useful projects, and land restored to a healthy state and/or restored to its rightful inhabitants. https://worldbeyondwar.org/military-empires
From the Global Protest
This weekend 21/22 September, people from across the world rose yet again to demand an immediate halt to 5G on Earth and in Space for the sake of Public Health, Ecology and Freedom. Their message: “We do not consent to a few powerful technology and satellites companies dictating the future of all life on Earth." The theme this time was harm caused to animals by Electrosmog and pictures are streaming in from countries across the Globe, including US, the UK, India, South Africa, Japan, Peru, France, Spain, Italy, Germany and Sweden.
