The Prime Directive is such a powerful theme agreed. Did someone make a comment that Kirk violates the Prime Directive? That is correct. Although Starfleet officers will at time violate the prime directive (because nothing is absolute) it's because the captain and crew may find themselves in extraordinary situations in unpredictable outer space. " The prime directive is there to make Starfleet officers stop and think before acting recklessly and accidentally harming individuals, planet or galaxy. If a Starfleet captain ends up saving the world by breaking the Prime Directive, this violation may be excused.
Very different situation from our reckless current day Starlink scenario, which is not deployed with discretion, but a new space race - a public-private partnership fueled by profits of industry and the military, launching so fast and furious, without a pause for the future of astronomy if we can't see the night sky, our ability to launch rockets in the future if there is too much space junk and the health of our magnetosphere.
One of the biggest problems with the rapid evolution of wireless tech (1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, Space Wifi etc) is that shifts the focus of concern to 'the latest thing', which creates the impression that the previous tech must be relatively safe.
But it's ALL toxic and it will ALL have to be dismantled if we want to maintain a planet fit for biological life.
The sooner we recognise wireless as a technological dead end (the new asbestos) the better. Politicians, the media and Big Tech are all bought and paid for. Only ordinary consumers have the power to reject this tech, collapse the market and save the planet.
Everyone else is so hopelessly addicted to this tech that they will happily let everything die rather than admit the truth.

Starlink isn't as obvious as a cell tower - you can't see a cell tower in space, Starlink is partnering with precision agriculture and AI.
